I can hear my heartbeat, too. But, I hear it in my right ear, loud and clear. I'm glad to finally find others with this annoying problem. Doctors have shrugged it off. It is loudest after I eat salty foods. It diminishes when I avoid salt for a few days, and it disappears when I fast. Sha Shoom, Sha Shoom. Sha Shoom At least I'm alive. I suppose I should just stop eating salty foods.

: It's really funny that I ran across your message. I too have been having this same problem. I can hear by own heart beating in my left ear. It doesn't seem to be as noticable when there is other noise around. I did mention it to my internal medicine doctor. He looked in my ear and said it was just a little fluid build up. I don't believe him. I've never had this problem before. It even gets worse when I lean over sometimes. And especially it I strain. Let me know if you find out what is causing this.
