: : Whats up?I am 14 years old and i just had a heart oblation a month ago...Today I had the same SVT I had before and I had to go to the hospital(Last time I went to the hospital I did an ice dive to get out of my SVT)and I needed drugs to get out of it...How often is this seen and how did the oblation not work???
: : Thank You,

: Dear Jamie. I'm sorry that you have been experiencing SVT at such a young age. I also had an ablation for the same problem and it did not work but they did another ablation to get rid of it. Is that an option for you? It may be worth another try to rid yourself of this awful condition. My electrophysiologist, Dr Jonathan Clague, at the ROyal Brompton Hospital in London was determined not to give up until he had got rid of the problem for me. Contact your doctor again for further advice. Regards, Ann

Hello,
I have just wandered in here, trying to find out what this procedure is (oblation/ablation). My sister just had it done, but didn't know much about the particulars. Would you give me some information? Does the procedure make physical alterations to change the blood flow, or does it alter the nerve endings? She has also, had a couple of events with reoccurance, but they didn't last as long and were separated by several months. She doesn't seem as concerned. She is 77, by the way. Jamie, I hope you get some resolution, Ann sounds encouraging.
Cheers
Tom C
