: can any body help me i am on the waiting list for a heart replacment valve and i would love to ere from any one that as had one and all as gone well or what ever else please could you e mail me with any info thanks.
You dont have to be on a waiting list for a heart valve. It can be replaced without waiting today if so needed. It can be replaced with a mechanical valve or with a pig valve but there are plenty of those available. A valve can also be repaired and not replaced, but the doctor usually doesnt know which way to go until the heart is open and he can inspect the damage.I had a valve repaired 21/2 years ago. Everything went well and the valve is holding up well.
