: : I have was diagnosed in 1995 with Auto Immune Hepatitus, I have a very good doctor, would like to know what kind of help you are getting. Maybe compare notes.

: Ihave autoimmune hep. it has been like a rollercoaster ride since I was diagnosed. I am 45 years old and Some of the best advice I can give you is to get the book by Sandra Cabot The liver cleansing Diet, and try to follow some of the recommendations she makes. Your daughters' diet is crucial.Make sure she is not using any artifical sweetners they hurt the liver if she has liver damage.Get the book, it has helped me so much.

Hi, I am a 47 yr old female and became very ill about 3 weeks ago and was told that I had Type A hepatitus than told no that the panel was negative.
I was told that because of my past medical, liver and blood test, and exam, they believe that I may have Auto Immune Hepatitus.
My doctor wants to do a liver biopsy, I requested additional liver function test (2weeks after the 2nd test) because my health seemed to be improving.
Now the blood work came back normal. I am so confused, don't know if I should have the biopsy done, if the liver function can change so quickly,
and that I can feel so much better in 3 weeks. The blood test for liver function was done 2 times before both times positive (around 700), the Hepatitus A panel was done twice both neg. I am at a loss.
I would appricate any information that I can get from someone who has had similar problems. thank you for your time.
