Recently I went in for routine blood work and was told
that my ALT level was 127. From what I understand, this is quite a bit above the normal level, between 20-40. I am going in again for further workup this coming week but am wondering why the number could be this high. My cholesterol was also very high (301), and the 12 hour fasting glucose level was a bit high, 139. Are these numbers cause for alaem? Could stress possibly be a factor in any of them? I have just lost my father and son, within a week of each other and then, a few weeks ago, was in a car accident.
