Manufactured by Amgen, INFERGEN was approved in October of 1997 by the FDA for the treatment of Hepatitis C. Amgen has a site (www.Ingergen.com). you can also get information and written materials from their 1-800- Compass line which is found on the website. Infergen has equally good results as the Rebetron therapy without the side effects associated with the ribavirin component, although some doctors are prescribing Infergen and Ribavirin together.
