: : I am a mother of two and I got tested for hep c twice a year apart both done at a hospital in New Hampshire and sent out to a lab both came back negative are the test accurate because my 19month old daughter has yellow stools all the time and I keep reading that hepatitis causes it I am so afraid she will die she is my last child and my baby I love her so much.I am so nervous the tests were wrong and I might have given her hepatitis . is New Hampshire updated in labs to test for hepatitis c? and also I have been tested for hep a and b both negative. And if my 19 month old has hepatitis how long she will live and is there any treatment available for her.

: for god's sake, if you are worried about your baby, get to a pediatrician immediately. it sounds like you are worrying yoursefl sick. i am not a doctor, but i have never heard of yellow stools as a symptom of hep. I also don't know how someone who keeps testing negative for hep could possibly pass it on to someone else--the tests say you don't have it. yes, tests can err, but you've had them done twice. settle down, but by all means bring your baby to a doctor if you are worried.

The tests are accurate. You do not have antibodies for HCV.

I have answered your questions before on this and I have seen where you are asking this same question elsewhere on the internet. Many have suggested you see a doctor to have your daughter checked by a pediatrician. Why have you not done this by now? Please go to your family doctor and have a discussion about your anxiety and fears.
