I knew I'd forget something!
Bees Pollen is great! Most books I've read suggest Bees Pollen and Lemon Balm as staples in the fight against herpes.
The thing I forgot is this: My husband made me a salve of tea tree oil, echinacea, goldenseal, melissa (more commonly known as lemon balm) in a base of cocoa butter to use if I actually do have an outbreak, or if it goes into the tingling stage right before. It works really well. Lemon Balm is considered a homeopathic "cure" for herpes, but is incredibly hard to find in a digestible form that is from a reliable source. We still haven't found any other than the dried herbs that he used for the salve. Just another tidbit of info.
