Posted by k on November 23, 2000 at 01:31:11:I have herpes. I had my first and only breakout a few years back. It was very painful. I would wait almost a whol;e day to pee becuse it burned so bad, and when taking a shower I could barley clean down there because it hurt so bad.
Well right now I am pregnant and had a horrible cold. they put me on antibiotics. After ahwile I though I was getting a yeast infection and the was sure of it when I realized that antibiotics sometimes cause yeastinfections and also knowing that being pregnant I am more prone to getn them.
My question is, well, I can remember some of my outbreak, but anyway can a yeast infection in someways hurt on my lips(vaginal area) like herpes does. It is not nearly as bad as I remember my outbreak, but I am just so scared, the last thing I want is an outbreak.
And if this were an outbreak, which I am not sure it is because my lips have been red for awhile with no blisters breaking out, my question there is how quick do blisteres take to break out after being red and sore. Also forgot to mention that I was very swollen down there for a few days. The swelling is down now, but I sure was, I just though it was either part of the yeats infection adn/or being engorged with blood down there since I am nearing the end of my pregnancy.
Sorry so long, but I am not well informed on herpes, mainly since I am so scared to get an outbreak again that I think if I don't discuss it it won't happen again. I just feel ashamed not even knowing why. It is mainlky becuase of the stereotype people who have herpes are given.
Well anyone who could clear any of this up for me, I will be very greatful!!!Thank you!!!!
