No ... I never received the email with password and when I go to post a message it say I don't have a password ... so I will register again .. Thanks FD: : I have tried to get on to the new forum and Im still waiting for my password to be okayed. So I imagine alot of people are having the same problem. Is there any one out there who knows what my problem is as I can't seem to post a message on there as of yet.
: : Fd how did you get on? Please let me know ? So I can be part of the network .: :
: : : Hi, no doubt you are correct, but in reality there is no anonymity anywhere on the net (only perceived) unless you disable "the cookies" but in doing so the pages one views are not only distorted but your replies or posts will not be posted since it is now password protected!: Magie, are you still waiting for it to e-mail you your password? If that's the only problem you are having I would suggest registering again...otherwise, you can contact the moderator and hopefully she can give you some suggestions.
: Like most UBB sites, it just asks for your info and then e-mails you your initial password, which you can go back and change at any time after your first log in. Let me know if that's the trouble. If not, maybe I can troubleshoot for you a little. If you want, feel free to e-mail me.
: As for anonymity, even though you have to submit an e-mail addy to get a password on the new site, you don't have to post your addy as visible to users, and they legally cannot use your information against you or send it out for spam lists. As I posted on another board, if you feel woogy about giving an e-mail addy to them...all you need to do is go register with false information for a free e-mail box on any mail site and give that address on the UBB registration page. It gives you the impression of anonymity (even tho I second Abria in that you really have no anonymity online, no matter how crafty you may be).
