Several years ago my wife had sores on her genitals, and her doctor told her thet is was probably herpies. He did not do any lab test to confirm this. She has had outbreaks from time to time, and we avioid sex during these periods. I have never experienced any sores on my genital area. My wife and I both get canker sours in our mouths from time to time also, and we really don't know if these are associated with the herpies virus, or "other" influences, since we both engage in oral sex. I, also get, what I use to call a "feaver blister" on the outside of my lip about two or three times a year, in the exact same spot. I wonder about that at well, and if I can pass the virus to others by kissing. What do you think about the three symptoms we have?
