: That is exactly how I got it...10 years into the marriage...both faithful, but before that both loose. He is a carrier of herpes. He never had a sore that he knew of...but did have oral cold sores and we had oral sex..so thee it is. I have read that actually both I and II are the same virus...the numbers denote where the sores are. Now I occasionally get oral sores too. But I never have breakouts unless I am under extreme stress..so build up your immune sysyems!
: Also, if I use a dab of A & D ointment on a tell-tell itchy spot, it never gets bad. I rarely ever have outbreaks anymore.
What is A&D ointment....is it over the counter med? I have asked my Dr. for something and was told to use the Zovorax cream which doesn't do much of anything when I have a really bad outbreak. Of course when it's bad, all you want to do is hide!
