: : : : : : HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR HERPES TOO SHOW UP
: : : : : : WHEN YOU FIRT GET THEM
: : : : : Two to ten days.
: : : : I had not been sexually active for months when I had my first outbreak. The Dr. couldn't tell me what it was 3 years ago. My next and last outbreak was 2 months ago & that's when I found out it was herpes. My breakout is one sore that is external and doesn't appear to be spreading thank God. Again, I haven't been active in months. I don't even want to think about dating again.
: : : I have been married for 13 years. Five yrs ago I had a 1 night fling with an old boyfriend-the only time I've been outside my marriage. I just had my initial breakout. I'm totally mistified! Where did it come from? I really trust my husband who is 18 yrs my elder and don't believe he's messed around. This is so frustrating!
: : I have been faithfully married for 10 years. Two weeks ago I had my first beakout. My husband says he has been faithfull. Can it be suppressed in a male for 10 years and him never know it? If so- why am I just now getting it?
: That is exactly how I got it...10 years into the marriage...both faithful, but before that both loose. He is a carrier of herpes. He never had a sore that he knew of...but did have oral cold sores and we had oral sex..so thee it is. I have read that actually both I and II are the same virus...the numbers denote where the sores are. Now I occasionally get oral sores too. But I never have breakouts unless I am under extreme stress..so build up your immune sysyems!
: Also, if I use a dab of A & D ointment on a tell-tell itchy spot, it never gets bad. I rarely ever have outbreaks anymore.
What is A&D ointment....is it over the counter med? I have asked my Dr. for something and was told to use the Zovorax cream which doesn't do much of anything when I have a really bad outbreak. Of course when it's bad, all you want to do is hide!
