I have suspected for a long time that I have herpes. I get sharp pains in the groin and back of my leg and then get what I can only call 'hot spots' on my genitals - usually in the same general area between vagina and anal area. This always seems to occur right after I finish my period each month. I have gone twice for a swab test which has returned negative, but these 'hot spots' are never actual blisters that weep (or I dont hit the doctor at exactly the right time I guess) My doctor tells me to not worry about it, but I continue to get thes pains and spots, and know in my heart of hearts that something isnt right. Ive read lots of info here on Lysine and other OTC rememdies but dont know if I should start treating myself when I dont know for sure. Im also terrified that I might be passing something along to a partner. Do my symptoms sound the same to anyone else out there? SHOULD I be concerned?
