No one seems to be answering your question. I think it's because no one can with any certainty. There are many causes aside from herpes for the signs and symptoms your girlfriend has. Anything from bike riding to detergent burn might cause an irritation. If she asked about herpes and the doctor said scabies, I guess I would have to go with the doctor.
