: : : I have been on atenelol for hbp for about 6 weeks now and doing well. However, I also have some lower back problems (disc related) for which I have previously been prescribed anti-inflammatories, such as naprosyn or ibuprofen. Does anyone know if the anti-inflammatory drugs affect blood pressure? The blood pressure is now well regulated and I do not want to disrupt it. Thanks for any information.
: : I am not a doctor but I have read that the anti-inflammatories mentioned do increase blood pressure. How are you doing?
: I am currently doing OK. The atenelol is working well for me. I try to avoid and anti-inflammatory drugs if at all possible but I have taken some ibuprofen without any problem to bp.
