Do you perhaps mean hyponatraemia? This means low sodium. I am familiar with it as a condition in runners that drink too much water. Basically what happens is that the body loses its ability to regulate its salt levels. In ultra runners it can simply be due to over ingestion of water without any salt in it. Its quite serious and can also be brought about by some meds - eg I think diuretics. The opposite would be hypernatraemia and is high sodium.
