Thyroid imbalances can cause high cholesterol and high blood pressure, whether hyper or hypothyroid.
Symptoms are known to cross over.

Strep is unrelated, as it is from a bacteria.
One does not necessarily need a thyroid panel done at all, to be properly diagnosed.
