: I don't know how they relate to HBP, however, I can speculate that my related spasms (internal) are related to stress and lack of sleep. Respond to this if you get about 6 hours of sleep and work in a stress related field?

I do indeed get little sleep ( 5-6 hours) and some degree of stress at work on a regular bassis.I find the symptoms varey from actual palpitations in short bursts,to a feeling like my upper internal chest contents have "lifted" or contracted .This occurs mainly when relaxing particularly laying in bed.Sometimes I get a simmular feeling in my calf muscles and forearms like an invisible hand has gently but firmly compressed them and then let go.I wonder if this may be due to adrennilin problems "pumping up" my system, does any of this follow your pattern of symptoms.

Mark D.
