As a 31 year old my bp registered at 161/117.My doctor considered it an emergency and put me on clonidine. I believe if you have a diastolic over 120 and systolic over 160 you are at risk for a stroke.But I would advise you to ask your doctor.

: I need some help here. I am a 24 year old male.I just had my blood pressure checked at a healthfair at work.
: My reading was 160/120. I am going to see my doctor in a few days. How high is this? Am I in line for a stroke or something worse? I have a high stress job. Does that have anything to do with it?
