My boyfriend went to donate blood a week ago at the red cross as he does every 3 months and after checking his BP and realizing it was too high he couldn't donate this time.

He stoped drinking coffee all ready for a week and his BP went down dramatically, so caffeine absolutely had something to do with his BP.
