My blood pressure is normal in the morning when I first get up (125/78). By mid day, without sitting for an extended period of time to rest, it goes up to 150/100 or more. I am retired and do not have any particular stress in my life. What are the acceptable upper limits during normal daytime activity? Is this kind of swing normal? Also, I notice that after alcohol consumption, my reading goes back to approximately the same level as the first thing in the morning. Comments appreciated.
