A pharmacist told me that niacin could also affect the liver so you may want to keep that checked on. I think he said the non-flushing kind was more apt to cause a problem. That figures. I was taking Cholestene and didn't have any problems. It lowered my cholesterol twenty-three points in three weeks. There is something called Evolve which is made of rice bran oil. I've taken it for a while but haven't had my cholesterol checked yet. The ingredients seem harmless but it's hard to know. You can get it at Walgreens if anyone wants to try it. They also have a website. It's a little cheaper than Cholestene.
