Several have asked how to convert cholesterol results from Canadian units to U.S. measurement. Canada uses mmol (millimoles) as a unit of measurement, and the U.S. uses mg/dl. To convert mmol to mg/dl, multiply the result by 38.76.

For example in Canada if your result is 5.8 mmol, multiply that result by 38.76. This translates to 225 mg/dl in U.S. measurement.

If interested, I found this information at http://www.youfirst.com/faqs.htm. Itís just a brief explanation at the very end (probably faster to do a "find" on mmol). So if someone finds something with more details, do share.
