I had a stent put in my heart on May 31 of this year, I had a 85% blockage in my right artery , since I had not had a heart attack before the procedure I was in the hospital 24 hours and went home with instructions to walk 30 min a day which I could do within 5 days. I don't know the safety percentages and don't want to I would just worry , I look at it this way it was better than a heart attack . The procedure is painless and I was asleep. I did have a rather large bruise on my leg by the entry sight but very little pain just some tenderness. The absolute worst part of the whole thing was not being able to get up out of bed for 6 hours after they were through. If you are afraid , don't be , if chicken little here can go through it believe me you can! Hope this has helped you. If you would like to talk linville@ptsi.net
