Had two stents put in a totally occluded right coronary. Was lucky- I have run 4 miles a day for 30 years and had developed a collateral vessel which kept my heart from damage. Was easy- one hour inthe cath lab- awake abd watched the whole thing. went home the next day. Groin sore for a week. had a full treadmill teat a week later which was now normal. Also was able to lower my cholesterol from 260 to 120 by a low fat diet alone. Diet is MUCH MOREV IMPORTANT than anything else in preventing heart disease (although exercise, lean bdy weight, and no smoking also help)
