: : what sort of diet should one have to lower cholestral levels?

My levels were high two months ago. The docotor stated that I was not allowed any eggs what so ever, ice cream is limitted to special occasions. I have to walk 20 minutes (no stopping)every day. Hamburger(lean),ham, lamb and pork are allowed only two days a week. The other days are fish and chicken.I'm allowed a certain type of maragine(becel), no butter and to stay away from salt.I have since lost 14 pounds and my cholesteral has gone down. And I also hve to eat 100% whole wheat bread. I feel better and hope that it will stay down.I find this works for me but may not work for others.Good luck in your search.
