I have high total cholesterol (327) but I also have a very high HDL (112). I am 48 years old, I exercise daily and eat very nutritiously - the picture of health. Doctors recommend Zocor but I am reluctant to do so. All 5 of my siblings have this high cholesterol. My father did suffer from heart disease but he did not practice a healthy lifestyle. Am I foolish to refuse treatment?
