: My latest lab results:
: Total Cholesterol-157
: LDL - 69
: HDL - 34
: Triglycerides - 299
: I am already taking Baychol .8
: My Doctor added Welchol and advised a stricter diet(minimum fat and protein).

Sounds like your diet recommendation is completely backwards if you want to raise HDL and lower Triglycerides. To raise HDL eat protein such as meat and eggs. To lower Triglycerides, cut way back on carbohydrates and in particular sugars and starches (bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, corn, etc.). With proper diet, and by proper diet I mean one that emphasizes whole natural foods such as meat, eggs, and non-starchy vegetables and is low in carbohydrates like those previously mentioned, you should be able to get your lipids in line without drugs.
