I'm 39 years old and had Berger's disease diagnosed 3 years ago.
I found I had a problem by chance after a routine medical for life assurance. (Urine test showed
excess protine content). I had a biopsy to confirm the condition.
My specialist monitors my blood pressure and that is it. No medication for the condition.
He tells me that the cause is unknown but is worsened by high blood pressure, excess alchohol
and smoking. Cut these out and you may not have a problem.
I've also heard others say fish oil helps. My specialist will not acknowledge this though.
Otherwise I feel well with the occassional ache in kidney areas.
