: I missed the topic of pyoderma gangrenosum and as I have been diagnosed with it, I'd like to get any info I can on it. Could you help? Thanks

I've had what is probably a mild case of this condition since 1971. In the 70's it was single lesions on my upperbody, in the 80's large area Atypical PG on my arms, in the 90's clustors of lesions on my legs. Each cycle would eventually clear up (very slowly) with or without superpotent topical corticosteroids. Last years cycle required a short very carefully monitored cycle of prednisone. That's a true wonder drug, other than the side effect that it might kill you.

The emedicine site suggested by James is great. You may also get something out of NorthernLight.com which has a very large number of survey papers which one can download at 2.95 a pop. (One starts with a $5 credit). From "pyoderma Gangrenosum by Bennett et al, (a survey of 86 patient studies) I conclude that this condition is only weakly correlated with other conditions, and cures take a long time. (I'm not sure what they call a cure. I've thought I've been cured many times.)

I wish I knew what caused it and what cured it.
Good Luck.
