Hi, I have agamma globulin anaemia. I was diagnosed in about 1968, it is fairly rare. I have been receiving gamma globulin initially in the early 70's by injection in New Zealand. However since moving to Australia have been getting the gamma globulin infusion every 4 weeks. This helps me fight bacterial infections. This infusion definately seems to help. As well I have asthma. However I would just like to let you know that a diagnosis of this deficiency does not necessarily mean that you will become very ill. If I dont have the gamma globulin I am at a higher risk of picking up bacterial pneumonia or menangitis.
