: I WAS DIAGNOSE WITH HT. IN FEBRUARY AND I WAS WONDERING DO YOU HAVE A STRANGLING FEELING IN YOUR THROAT? I FEEL LIKE I HAVE A CONSTANT LUMP IN MY THROAT THAT I CAN'T SWALLOW. I WAS WONDERING IF THIS GOES AWAY OR HAVE YOU HAD THIS EXPERIENCE? IF SO ARE YOU ON MEDICATION, AND DID THE FEELING GO AWAY?
i have had that feeling proably 3 times that i sought a thyroid scan for. always was normal and the feeling eventually went away. i have been on synthroid for 27 years. i always seem to have flare-up of having difficulty swallowing but with time it was never serious. the doctors have always dismissed the feeling because it was normal. hang in there is does seem to subside, without reason.
