I've had PG on the outside of my right calf for 14 years. I've had Crohn's disease since age 15 (I'm a 47 year old male)..... the MD's always think there's a relationship. Now both calves are flaring-up and hurt like crazy. I've tried about every medicine there is: 6MP, dapsone, cyclosporin, prednisone, topical dessings of all kids (jelly-like sheets, special gels, steroid creams, etc). Truth be told only prednisone really works, but the side effects are awful (weight gain, bloated face + increased risk of infection, bone softening). This is one tough problem and it wears me down sometimes (like now).
