I was diagnosed with Pyroderma gangrenosum in the fall of 1991, I was in the Marine Corps in North Carolina at the time. I had it all over my arms and legs. It spread very fast, and predisone kept it under control and from spreading. It took 6 months to heal. Had to keep the wounds covered at all times, seen MANY doctors. Felt like a lab rat for awhile. I haven't had a reoccurance (knock on wood) I have read that some people do. Your sister should be fine if it was caught in time. I noticed mine early, but being in the Marines, they wouldn't take me to the hospital when I wanted to go, so I think mine spread more than it should have. Good luck to you and your family.
