Hello, everyone - I just have had my diagnosis confirmed the hard way, a series of 4 TIAs that put me in the hospital for a week while they poured heparin into me. Now I am on coumadin. This diagnosis was suspected early last year when I suffered a retinal artery occlusion. Actually, it is a bit of a relief to have the diagnosis; I have been having symptoms since 1989 and had been diagnosed as having multiple sclerosis, then central nervous system vasculitis. I have also been told my symptoms were psychosomatic. I also have rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren's Syndrome, and fibromyalgia.
