: : My wife has been tested for a variety of illnesses including Lupus, MS, Lyme and others. We recently requested and received copies of her lab reports and found out that she has "abnormal" test results on the Epstein Barr Virus Assays (abnormal on IGG - both VCA and NA - and and normal on IGM). In addition, she has had four spinal taps and the protein in her spinal fluid has continued to climb (currently 75). We don't know how to interpret the test results and so far, the doctors have been stumped. Is it possible she has Epstein Barr and if so, what is the cure if any?

Hi!
I have been undergoing the same tests and again only test pos. for EBV. I would like to know if our symptoms are the same- tingling in legs and arms, muscles spasms, joint aches, racing heart at times, back and stomach pain, seems to be a different one each day. I am 38 years old and have always been very healthy until suddenly became sick in July of this year. I have been doing research on chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia which seems to have the same symptoms. After 13 different doctors, 2MRIs, countless blood profiles, I am also stumped. I have found an interesting sight with the institute for Molecular Medicine you might want to check out. www.immed.org There is a Dr. Garth Nicholson who is doing research on these symptoms.Sharon
