I have to tell you that I have had glandular fever for the last 2 years, I have at the moment a really bad flair up again. I was told that once you get it in your system you will always have it, not sure how true this is, but it seems to be the case with me. I have only had one negative test in 2 years. I was told not to kiss my children, while I am active. You need to have a blood test to tell wether you are active or not, if you arent it will probably be okay.
: hey..
: i was unfortunate enough to contract glandular fever (also known as Infectious Mononucleosis).
: Thankfully I'm recovering now but the question I have is this:
: As it is known as the "kissing disease" and is passed on through saliva, how long will I have to wait before kissing again? How long will I be infectious for?
: I don't want to pass it on!
: Thanks in advance for any help :)
