: I listen to the Dr. Gabe Mirkin show on the radio...and he says over and over again that anyone who is infertile should be checked for an infection before doing anything else. He has many medical journal references that support this theory. He says that the Drs. and the infertility clinics don't do this first because they would loose big bucks which may or may not be true. However they may not know about it either. Also the tests may not show up an infection but treat anyway because there are infections that don't show up in tests that are available to the Drs. and labs. Both partners need to be treated with antibiotics and in many cases pregnancy happens! What is there to loose? If you want more information check out his web site and eveluate for yourself. Or listen to his radio program, it is country wide at different times, the times are also on the web site. The site is www.drmirkin.com
: Good luck and I would be interested in feed back and your opinion.

Hear, Hear! I agree.
My infertility doctor found a bacteria present between myself and my husband. We had no symptoms but if not treated we would have never gotten pregnant.
I also have a friend who three months after being treated for a bacterial infection was pregnant.
