: I am wondering what normal progesterone levels are. My obgyn did tests on about day 21 and 23 and levels were in the 4-6 range. All she told me is that I ovulated. Is it possible that I am conceiving but am not maintaining a pregnancy due to Prog. levels? Has anyone had experience with this. Help!!
From what my specialist has told me, that is WAY too low. I, too, have a low progesterone level. Over a year ago, I had a test on day 21. It was 11.5. My OB told me it was fine. We'll over a year later... no baby. I finally made my way to a specialist, and within 5 minutes of reviewing my test result (I brought it with me from my OB), he said it "was in the normal range, but not HIS normal range." And, from what I've read, it needs to be over 14. I had a confirmed pregancy once, but lost it very early. My specialist told me this could be the very reason we have been having trouble conceiving and why I miscarried. He tested me that day and it was even lower - 8.5. He started me immediately on progesterone, and with my last test my level was up to 22!!!! Please question your level with your doctor - I am confident this is contributing to your infertily.
Good luck!!!
