: I realize that some of you are as against herbs, vitamins, accupuncture, etc. as I am against prescription drugs, but for those of you who are open to the possibilities of natural treatments, please go to the library and research, hire an herbalist or naturopath or accupuncturist and try some of the other things you can do that are less invasive than presciption drugs, surgery and degrading tests. It worked for me. Learn about cervical mucus (my dr. never told me)in books like Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler, Cut out bad dietary habits (you know, all that sugar you've been craving) and replace them with good ones. Lose weight (I know it's hard)and exercise. Take proper care of yourself and you may be surprised. And at least if you have to resort to medication you will know that you have done all that you could for that little baby that we all so desperately desire. If you try these things, be patient, natural living is not a quick fix. And most of all, TAKE CONTROL. Do not leave your life in other people's hands. Good luck and God Bless!

I just bought that book and have been reading it everyday. My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for 4 years now with no result. I was getting desperate, but we did not want to use fertility drugs not yet at least. I have also started taking some herbs and vitamins. The book is very insightful. Your right it tells you much more than the doctor ever does. I'm taking something called Female Balance because, my cycles are sometimes 42 days and sometimes longer, and a vitamin and mineral supplement called Maxine.
Both have Vitex(Chaste Berry), Dong Quai, B-6 and Folic Acid. The Vitamin supplement also has Raw Ovary Extract and Uva Ursi. Do you know about these herbs? The woman at my local health food store was very helpful. She showed me several books and even copied some information out of one book for me. I have learned so much this week and it has revived my hope. I'll let you know how it goes. Has it been successful for you?
God Bless,
Barb
