: I saw the advice on taking Robitussin w/ expectorant to help low-motility sperm be better swimmers, but who takes it -- he or she or both? I confess, I threw some in the grocery cart yesterday! Is it for him, me or both of us?
I haven't ever heard of men taking Robitussin for their sperm. I have always heard its for women with cervical mucus problems, like to make the cervical mucus thinner and more accepting of sperm. Some women who take clomid use Robitussin with a certain ingredient in it starting with a "g" (guifanesin I think) because Clomid can affect your cervical mucus production which is vital for conception. It has to have that "g" stuff in it though, nothing else. It usually says it right on the label.
