: I am on my second cycle with pergonal and this month they have added Progesterone to the list on thigs to take--I have to take it for 14 days morning and night after artificial insemination... Has anyone else taken it and what are the side affects??????
Progesterone is given to help the lining of the uterus so that if you are pregnant the embryo can implant properly.
When I took progesterone ( vaginal suppositories) I felt a little nauseous. It's kind of like the feeling when you are pregnant since progesterone levels should be high during pregnancy.
Hope this helps.
