: We have kept our fertility problems private thus far, except for a small handful of close friends. Our family never really askes too much, but a lot of friends do. What is a nice way to say, "none of your business"? I know that they have no idea what is going on, but it still bothers me.
I don't think it's anybody else's busniess. Everyone needs support going through infertility but you don't have to shout it from the roof tops. I hope you're not ashamed of it though. You didn't do anything to cause it so how can you be ashamed of something you've never done. Infertility does not define who you it is just something that happened like lupus. Nobody wants it but lots of people have it. I know it hurts sometimes but we have to find ways to be happy despite the fact. Even though most times you just want to slap the question right out of their mouths remember that they don't know. Infertility is not a part of their daily lives like it is ours. When people asks me when am I going to have a baby I just say "We're working on it tonight". It usually drops the subject on it's own.
