: HI...My name is Lunora....and I am sooooooo frustrated. I have been off of the pill for over year now. My fiance and I planned on getting preganant last year. Since i had been on the pill for 2 years, we knew it might take a while. So we waited a few months to give my body a chance to recover. He has 2 children from a previous marriage and we were ready to add another to the family. i have never been pregnant before, so I wasn't sure how quick it would happen. After 6 months of trying the frustration started. Seeing that it wasn't that easy, we went and sought for help. The DR. had me monitor my ovulation cycles by taking my temperture and charting it. That didn't work, so we tried ovulation kits. 5 MOnths of that, and that didn't work. So my Dr. wanted my fiance to get a sperm count done. We did that, and he was fine in that dept. Come to find out his motility was low. Unfortunately, I switched employers...so we don't have insurance right now. I can't do any more medical research for another 3 months. I have to wait until my benefits kick in. I was hoping that i might get pregnant by luck. No luck, tried to relaxed. We took a vacation to Hawaii thinking that might help. No luck.. I'm period usually comes evry 24-25 days.. It's been 27 days...and nothing. So we were hoping and praying. I just started about 10 minutes ago...and I am so upset. I have lost all hope. Anyone have any advise or suggestions? I've lost it...and am having another break down....help. I just want to be blessed with motherhood
Hi Lunora, My Husband also has low motility, depending on the percent of normal sperm the Dr's can due IUI with clomid, we start our 1st iui in about 2 weeks, they adv anything under 50% motility is considered low, my Husbands is %25 and Hopefuly we'll get pregnant w/iui which is inuterine insemination, they time it when your ovulating and insert the motile sperm through a cathedar, make sure your insurance covers fertility treatments, and if he fatherd 2 kids already maybe he can quit smoking?? wear boxers, take vitamins???, don't loose hope, stay positive, and never give up your dream.
