Is anyone out there knowledgable about long-term serophene/clomid effects? I am very conservative about taking meds (my mom got near-fatal, permanent nerve disorder from swine flu vaccines in 70s). We've been ttc over 2 yrs. Doc is recommending serophene -- we have combo low progesterone & low-motility. My questions are: 1) why would you take something that increases estrogen if you have no problem in that area? 2) Doesn't progesterone level need to be improved anyway to sustain pregnancy? 3) Isn't it esp wrong because my mom is breast cancer survivor -- and artificial estrogen is linked w/ uterine & breast cancer? 4) Does anyone know about long-term studies of children conceived using serophene/clomid? Are they healthy? 5)Are there other options to increase progesterone (i've heard about "transdermal hormone creams")? Thanks (I know I sound like a nervous nelly)!
