I have just been told I have a tendancy to PCO and so require no treatment. This is because I have enlarged ovaries on ultrasound but no hormonal imbalance. This is frustrating for me as I do get acne and some excess hair and abdominal pain. I feel much better generally on a low carb diet but my doctor refuses to test my insulin levels or refer me to another specialist. I has taken over my life to a large extent but the doctor makes me feel like a neurotic. I am starting to believe he is right and that I just have to live with it. Any suggestions anyone?
