Dear Janae:
I saw on a baby story one day a lady who adopted and she was breastfeeding. She had a supplemental bag with breast milk in it taped to her chest with a tube (straw like) taped to her nipple which the baby sucked. She said the sucking would stimulate her to make milk (not enough to sustain the baby though). I am not sure if she was given any hormone shots. Good luck and congratulations.
