: I've been using the monitor now for about 5 months. The day you start you period (not spotting), set the monitor as day 1. This monitor will not only tell you when to test and when ovulation occurs, but it will also keep track of your periods (which is helpful). This way you don't have to count the days yourself. This will also help you to know how long it is taking you to ovulate. So, my answer would be "yes", start the monitor on your upcoming period. The results are better if you set the monitor in the morning, and test in the morning. It seems to be more accurate.
