I am an infertility patient in my 3rd year of trying. I just switched Doc's and my new doctor is 110% better than my prevoius one.
The new Dr. is running a bunch of teats and I got some results back today. All of my tests were normal with the exception of 1. I have an elevated
insulin level of 24.3 Apparently "normal" is 0-20. My previous Dr. was treating me a PCOS patient, but my new Dr. isn't sure if that is really the
case, which is why he is running all these new tests. Does anyone have any idea how or if this elevated insulin level can effect fertility?
My new Dr. is on Religious leave until Monday and I am dying to find out what this means. I am also interested in finding out
if anyone knows anything about Metformin? My Doc mentioned it to me, but was waiting for my test results before he really explained it.
Help...I am so confused...
