i get spotting a few days before my period also. I don't know if it affects my infertility because i am not trying to get pregnant right now, but next year i want to, and i also am concerned about this spotting. i'm 28 and never spotted until about 2 years ago. i now get bad pms as well. spotting before your period is a classic sign of endometriosis, which can cause infertility. unfortunately a hormone test and your regular gyne checkup would not detect this. the only way to confirm endo is with a laparoscopy. you may want to ask your doc about endo & this procedure. i'm going to bring this up to my doctor before i try to get pregnant.
also, i know someone who was trying to get pregnant for a long time and she decided to have sex only twice that month-during the time she suspected ovualation-and it worked! the sperm needs to have healthly, good quality fluid to survive in and it doesnt have a chance to get that way if you have sex too much-so maybe it's not you-it could be the sperm! Hope this helps, let me know how things turn out. best of luck.
